The fight against corruption is one of the most remarkable achievements of his 100-day tenure, stated the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan at the rally dedicated to his 100-day tenure in Republic Square.

"We have promised you to identify all the robbers of the Republic of Armenia and we are doing that. But the most important issue in the fight against corruption is not to fill the prisons, but to return the stolen money to the people and to the state. Today, tens of millions of dollars have been returned and are being returned. Today we have a situation when law enforcement agencies work very intensively, "said the Prime Minister.

Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that there is a view that part of the judicial system belongs to the former corruption system.

"By appearing in Baghramyan 26, I refused from the vicious practice of giving orders to the judiciary, but this does not mean that some of the judges should receive instructions from the previous corruption officials," said Pashinyan.

According to the prime minister, there is a need to create transitional justice bodies to overcome some of the problematic issues in the legislation.

"In one of the high-ranking officials' brother's only one account $ 30 million was discovered, but since the law on illegal enrichment was adopted on June 1, 2017, there would be complications in bringing back the robbed money, because this man has not been an official for a long time and has not submitted a declaration, "said Pashinyan.

According to him, many international organizations and partner countries have expressed their willingness to assist in the freezing of assets of Armenian officials in foreign countries and offshore and transferring them to Armenia.
