RA Minister of Economic Development and Trade Artsvik Minasyan receives Lebanese Minister of Tourism Avetis Kitanyan.

Artsvik Minasyan noted that he is glad to welcome him in Armenia and is ready to combine efforts to develop and introduce new quality of mutually beneficial cooperation in tourism.

"The change in our country is a change of hope, and we need to reinforce that hope in society. As Minister I attach great importance to this and I am ready to do our utmost to ensure the development of our country's economy, "Artsvik Minasyan said.

Avetis Kitanyan informed that he is impressed with the changes in Armenia and added that it is nice to meet again in this ministry and continue close cooperation that has started with a number of meetings with officials in Armenia and Lebanon.

"Tourism is a sphere that can quickly become a major source of economic development. Let's try to work together in this direction, "said Avetis Kitanyan and expressed his readiness to make efforts to develop tourism in the two friendly countries.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the results recorded in the first half of the current year (according to statistical data, the number of tourists arriving from Lebanon to Armenia was 3437, compared with the previous year's 2410, the growth made 42.6%), at the same time mentioning that there is great potential and opportunity for development.
