Compulsory health insurance will be introduced in Armenia, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan stated.
"Only after health insurance will be implemented for state employees, it will be possible to say that the system works and we can pass to compulsory insurance for everyone," Torosyan told at online press conference of "Azatutyun" radio station.
Moreover, the Minister called for refrain from the use of the word "mandatory", indicating that it will probably have a complex or comprehensive character when everyone will be able to get medical services within the framework of insurance.
He noted that the health insurance mechanisms have not been decided yet, not excluding the fact that employers may pay for insurance.
According to the minister, it will help the residents of Armenia to get medical aid at the beginning of the disease, without serious consequences.
"The meaning of the system is that you can get medical help immediately after paying a small amount, continuing to pay after receiving the services," Torosyan said.
