The Georgian government prohibits the transport of wheat to Armenia by trucks, which may cause grain prices growth, RA Minister of Agriculture Artur Khachatryan stated.
"I cannot say how much it will affect the price of wheat, but in recent years, our importers having an alternative, has been preferring to transport goods through the Upper Lars. Naturally, it is cheaper, "the minister said.
It should be noted that the Georgian government will prohibit the import of wheat by trucks from September 15, offering to do it by sea or rail.
