"We have to carry out extensive reforms, they should not be hasty, ill-considered," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the beginning of the government session today.
"I think we must register our reform methodology, taking into consideration the political realities in Armenia. It is generally accepted to say that reforms are a painful process, and I think that we should abandon this logic because our reform algorithm should be an extensive dialogue with the public, establishing an agreement on any or all of the reforms. If we have enough arguments for the implementation of reforms, then the same arguments should be presented to the public, "the Prime Minister mentioned.
Touching upon the package of amendments to the Tax Code, the prime minister said that it is necessary to start a dialogue with the public on the issue next week. "We have to carry out extensive reforms that should not be hasty," he said, "should not be fooled, they should have direct and organic connection with our national interests, problems and issues raised during velvet revolution in Armenia, "said Pashinyan.
