The Yerevan Brandy Plant will raise the price of grapes for 10 drams. The company will start grape harvesting on September 11.
The launch of harvesting will be made at Armavir branch of Armavir region. The Aygavan branch (Ararat province) will join the process on September 12. Yerevan Brandy Factory in Berd branch (Tavush Region) will start on September 17. By focusing on viticulture in the border regions of Armenia, YBP is ready to purchase 100 % of the crops corresponding to the relevant varieties and qualitative standards of the border villages of Tavush region.
The plant will buy 29,000 grapes this year, for which the company has allocated 4 billion 60 million drams.
Grape growers will be paid within 3 to 4 days after delivery of the grapes by transferring money to the farmers' bank accounts, which were also opened by the organization.
The price of purchased grapes will be 140 drams per kilo for all branches. Moreover, being loyal to the "one price for one year" approach, which assumes a single price for the absolute amount of grape in all three branches, the organization is ready to compensate for the insufficiency of sugar in the grapes in the Tavush region with the amount of grapes purchased.
