Draft Decree of the President of RA signed on August 8, 2018 on the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Prices for Natural Gas Delivered to Armenia signed on December 2, 2013 between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federationhas been submitted to the RA Government for approval.

It will be discussed at the Government's October 10 sitting and is included in the agenda issues.

According to the substantiation, by this Protocol the gas price for the Republic of Armenia is set $ 150 per 1,000 cu. meters from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018 inclusive.

"The signing of this Protocol will contribute to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, creation of favorable conditions for the development of economic ties, and the continuation of business activity increase. Guided by the provisions of the RA Law on International Treaties, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia finds it expedient the ratification of the Protocol by the President of the Republic to amend the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation on the order of price formation for delivery of natural gas to the Republic of Armenia from December 2, 2013,"reads the statement.
