A draft on making an amendment to the RA Law “On ensuring activities, servicing and social guarantees of officials” was put into circulation. According to the draft, it is proposed to introduce a new instrument into the state pension system: the maximum pension, which cannot exceed ten times the minimum pension.
Mane Tandilyan, Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, wrote about this on her Facebook page.

“Polarization of pensions remains one of the problems of the system. Mitigation of polarization, overcoming the uneven size of pensions is considered extremely important. Although the average state pension is about 42,000 drams, there are government officials who receive pensions of even more than 1,000,000 drams, ”said Mane Tandilyan.

As a result, the proposed project assumes that the pension of government officials will be directly tied to pensions of citizens and government officials responsible for the socio-economic situation in the country will be able to increase the size of their pensions only while raising the pensions of citizens.
