According to Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, it is possible to revise domestic consumer prices for gas.
During a briefing with journalists at the “Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative” conference, Avinyan answered questions about the stage at which the negotiations with Gazprom took place, at the expense of which the increase in gas prices would be subsidized so that the gas tariff would not increase for the consumer.
"There are various components that form the average domestic price for gas for consumers, and by optimizing these components, by recalculating, revaluing, revising losses, there are various indicators that need to be revised, and I think we will find specific items in which this revision is feasible, "he said.
According to him, negotiations with Gazprom continue, and they will report as soon as the information becomes available.
Avinyan also raised the question of whether the authorities can introduce a bill on the issue of bonuses, and noted that it is necessary to revise the civil service system.
“We have to pay attention to the moral side, but if we want to create a truly competitive public system, we must reconsider the public service system and at least bring the public sector wages closer to the private sector and make it competitive so that the best staff at some point did not go into the private sector, ”he said, and noted that there were no discussions on the legislative initiative.
