The meeting of "Gazprom" CEO Alexander Miller and the Executive Director of "Uniper SE" Klaus Sheffer took place in Saint Petersburg, Gazprom press service reported.

They have confirmed the record in the Russian gas export to Germany in the first quarter of 2018, following the high results of the same period in 2017 and 2016.

According to the preliminary data, from January 1 to May 23, 24.4 billion cubic meters of Russian gas has been exported to Germany, which is 13.4 % more than in the same period last year.

Throughout the year 2017 the figure was 53.4 billion cubic meters, which is 7.2 % more than in 2016.
