The Chinese authorities will take strict measures to prevent the United States from putting new customs duties on Chinese goods, said the Chinese Trade Ministry statement.

"If the American side finally goes mad and launches a new list, the Chinese side will have to undertake a comprehensive set of quantitative and qualitative measures," said a statement released by the China Department of Commerce.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced in a statement that he had instructed to prepare a $ 200 billion Chinese product list, with 10 percent more possible tariffs for them, if China would raise the import customs duties.
