The technology giant IBM and Columbia University have created a new research center for educational initiatives and development of blockchain technologies.

The center is located at the University of Manhattan, New York. Among other things, it will become an incubator blockchain application that combines academic and technological knowledge, says the company's statement.

A special commission will be involved in the discussion of proposals for training programs, business initiatives and research projects for the Center, formed by IBM experts and university teaching staff.
