According to a study conducted by Kaspersky Lab in 32 countries in 2017, 17% of Russian users do not support mobile devices in any way, and more than half (58%) do not put a password in them. Only 48% of respondents in 32 countries are supporting mobile devices with a PIN or password. This means that people risk to make available their valuable data stored on smartphones, pallets, and some other devices, to other people, including evildoers.

Many users today use mobile devices for online activities. Thus, in 32 countries, 71% of respondents regularly enter the Internet through a smartphone, and 35% - via the tablet. That's why theft of the device can cause a real shock.

According to experts of Kaspersky Lab, more than one-third (41%) of respondents use the smartphone for online-banking operations. This means that, in the event of a device crash or loss, the malicious users can access the confidential financial information of the user. Additionally, 57% of respondents regularly check their e-mails through a smartphone, and 59% - enter social networks.

At the same time, critically important information on mobile devices is not always a matter for people to become conscious and responsible for cyber security issues. Only 30% of surveyed users create duplicates of data stored on mobile devices, 21% use anti-theft protection function, and 11% code files and folders to prevent unauthorized access to them.
