The State Duma of Russia passed a law in the third and final reading, according to which the VAT threshold will increase from 2019, from 18% to 20%. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

The document also envisages the continual preservation of the rate of social payments of state budget funds at the level of 30%. All privileged rates applicable to VAT are also maintained.

On July 18 the bill was passed in the second reading by the lower chamber of the parliament.
