The Bank of Russia launches a “monetary” marketplace for banks. This was stated by Deputy Director of the Bank of Russia cash circulation department Vladimir Demidenko.

Already 13 banks have joined the project and were able to perform trial work. Demidenko did not specify which banks joined the project.

“In order to reduce the main costs of working with coins, we must simplify this process. And here the special site of the Bank of Russia is, in fact, a variant of the marketplace. The preparatory work has been completed”, Demidenko said.
