
The Central Bank of Russia issued a commemorative coin in honor of the finals of the competition for choosing symbols for banknotes of 200 and 2000 rubles.
The coin has a diameter of 100 millimeters and weighs 1 kilogram. On the reverse side of the coin are symbols of cities that could fall on the banknotes: Petrozavodsk, Dalny Vostok, Irkutsk, Kazan, Sochi, Sevastopol, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir and Sergiev Posad.
A total of 75 coins were issued with a nominal value of 100 rubles.
It is clarified that the coin must be accepted as a means of payment without any restrictions.
Last October, the Central Bank introduced new banknotes of 200 and 2000 rubles: the first one shows views of Sevastopol, the second one - the bridge in Vladivostok and the "Vostochny" space port.
