In Georgia, on December 10, at 18:00, a special website vali.ge was launched to reset bank loans of Georgian citizens. This was stated by Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze at a briefing in Tbilisi.

The intention to forgive the debts of hundreds of thousands of citizens was announced during the pre-election campaign on the eve of the second ballot. The debts will be settled with the participation of the Cartu Foundation, founded by the leader of the ruling party "Georgian Dream" by billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili.

According to the head of the government, a special site will daily add the user base of banking services. From December 15 until the end of 2018, debtors will be excluded from the “black lists”, Bakhtadze added. He called the debt zeroing initiative "an act of solidarity."
