Sberbank's net profit in 2018 increased by 24.1%. Such data was obtained from a report published by a credit institution.

According to the document, Sberbank's net profit according to Russian accounting standards amounted to 811.1 billion rubles. In December last year, the credit institution received a net profit of 52.2 billion rubles.

As of January 1, 2019, retail deposits increased by 7.5% to 13.04 trillion rubles. Legal entities increased their deposits by 6.98 trillion rubles, an increase of 23.7%.

Thus, the total amount of customer funds exceeded 20 trillion rubles.

The growth of the loan portfolio and the currency revaluation of the balance sheet items of the bank were the main drivers of growth in bank assets, which in December increased by 780 billion rubles.

In the reporting year, loans to the population increased by 25.3%, and in the corporate sector by 13.2%.
