The Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, Igor Nasalik, said that over the past two years, the gas tariff in the country has grown by 89%, TASS reports.

He said this during an hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada.

According to him, the price of coal in Ukraine also rose to $ 100 per ton.

He stressed that since 2016 the gas tariff has increased by 89%.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian government increased the price of gas by 23.5% by November 1, 2018. The reason for this step is the pressure from the International Monetary Fund. Otherwise, the new loan will not be granted. Kiev is already discussing the issue of abandoning the central gas supply system.
