Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the “Opposition Platform - For Life” proposed to adopt a law involving the cancellation of public debt for housing and communal services accumulated before January 1, 2019.

"Given the discrepancy in the growth rate of prices for certain types of housing and communal services and the level of income of the population, it is proposed to write off the debt of the population," the bill says.
