Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government and the Central Bank to gradually move to lowering the interest rate on mortgage lending, first to 9 percent and then to 8 percent and below. He said this during his speech at the Federal Assembly.
“The government and the Central Bank need to consistently keep the line on lowering mortgage rates to 9%, and then to 8% and below, as indicated in the May decree,” Putin said.
According to him, more support should be provided to families with children. For example, families with a third and subsequent child are reimbursed 450,000 rubles for a mortgage.
“Taking into account the instability of the macroeconomic situation in the country, the growth of state revenues, I consider it possible to introduce an additional measure of support for families, where a third and subsequent child is born. Directly from the federal budget to pay, repay for such a family 450 thousand rubles from her mortgage loan, "- said Putin.
