Shareholders of Facebook again tried to remove the company's founder, Mark Zuckerberg, from the post of chairman of the board of directors.
It clarifies that such information is indicated in the proposal sent to the Federal Securities and Exchange Commission.
“Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been heading the board of directors since 2012,” shareholders said, stressing that they have limited ability to control Zuckerberg’s powers.
The company considered that this circumstance undermines Facebook’s leadership and control over its management.
Previously, one of the key top managers of Facebook, the owner of the hacker social network, Chris Cox, resigned from his post. In addition, Zuckerberg announced the resignation of Chris Daniel, who was responsible for the WhatsApp messenger on Facebook.
